The Literacy Council of Lancaster-Lebanon was incorporated as a non-profit organization and registered as a Pennsylvania Charitable organization.

Today

The Literacy Council of Lancaster-Lebanon has expanded programs and services and has the capacity to serve more than 600 adults each year. In 2009-2010, 200 volunteers donated more than 20,000 hours of their time and talent to help more than 600 adults develop their skills to get and keep jobs, get a GED and transition to training and post secondary education.

The Literacy Council of Lancaster-Lebanon receives funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Adult Basic and Literacy Education, the United Way of Lancaster and Lebanon County, fund raising events and private contributions.
